On April 28, workers, their families and many others gather in memory of
those who have died as a result of work and many more whose lives and
livelihoods are forever impacted by hazardous working conditions. A
National Day of Mourning was first recognized by the Canadian Labour
Congress in 1984 to raise public awareness of worker injury, illness and
death. More than 100 countries now observe a Day of Mourning.(http://bit.ly/1UAtgvH)
