The Canadian Labour Congress has published a study showing that unionized workers in Niagara earn on average $7.47 per hour more than non-unionized workers. The study is based on data published by Statistics Canada in 2011. Union members in Niagara accounted for 31% of all employees, yet earned 39.7% of all wages.
